Eccles cake?

Answers:
Eccles cake is a densely flavoured puff pastry parcel packed with soft and sweet currants. Its most celebrated in Manchester, U.K. Here's the recipe -

Ingredients:
500g flaky pastry
25g melt butter
Nutmeg
50g mixed peel
100g sugar
200g currants

Directions:
1. On a weakly floured surface, roll the pastry thinly and cut into rounds of just about half a centimetre concreteness and 10cm diameter.

2. Warm the butter in a saucepan and mix into it the sugar, currants, nutmeg and trim.

3. Place a teaspoonful of this mixture into the centre of respectively pastry round. Dampen the edges of the pastry. Press the edges together sealing contained by the mixture.

4. Place upside down on a greased baking tray and press them down a little.

5. Make three small cuts across the foundation of each cake. Brush beside water and sprinkle beside a little sugar.

6. Bake at 220°c for 20 minutes.

eccless or "eggless"..ifu meant w/o eggs, after u can substitute one egg for 1/4 cup of applesauce, or banana puree..but there are like mad of egg substitute out there that u can buy, close to Ener-G Egg Replacer.. or go to this
