it actually depends on what kindly of korean food you like. if you similar to barbeque, it's recommended that you go to a korean barbeque house, and if you approaching seafood, there's a variety of places that serve fresh seafood. if you approaching noodles, you can go to a place that serves noodles separately. sometimes, several restaurants have a sundry menu that you can order foods from.
i recommend ssuhlungtang (to put it simply, a beef bone soup), bibimbahp (rice mixed next to vegetables and egg and sometimes meat with hot pepper paste), samgyubssahl (bacon). samgyubssahl comes next to lettuce and some other side dishes, and it's really delicious.

Its hard to communicate you whats good, minus knowing your tolerances for spicy food. Generally Korean food is spicy, and smelly. but OH SO GOOD!
The barbecued pork belly is really really popular (Sam Kyeop Sal), Bul Dalk ~ spicy chicken is flavourful too... very remarkably spicy though, but yes, I think your best bet is to range around koreatown, and have a look at what others are consumption, and when you see something you like the look at only just go contained by and order it!
