The US undoubtedly have the "best food" because even the smallest American city has a dozen or more immigrant-run restaurants feature the 'home-cooked' cuisine of that family's native country. Therefore the best food from several countries is all available contained by the average US city.
I live in a modestly-sized city on the US East coast, and we enjoy within a few miles Salvadoran food, Nigerian, French, Cuban, Mexican, Vietnamese, Korean, Mongolian, Thai, Northern Chinese, Bangladeshi, Japanese, and even an "English" (LOL!) restaurant!
I totally agree with you, the food contained by Italy, is absoulutely wonderful. If you go to England, the food can most times be bland, so if your on a diet this is the place to be. Had food surrounded by Paris and it was great.

wow , first off america have cheese burgers and corndogs to our name, we dont hold cuisine. italy tought the french to cook the chinese tought the rest of the world. and nobody mentioned the islands, the best and easiest foods come from the carribean. italy is the best of the rest. then chinese influenced foods.

or the tekkah, step to an Iraqi restaurant and see the menu they have well-mannered stuff , even vegetarian food. but fashion sure to go to an Iraqi restaurant not an iota Arabic restaurant.
