Answer:
Hmmm... looks to me like Pancit Palabok or Pancit Luglug (essentially like dish, the difference being primarily within the composition of the sauce used).
Both types use a round rice noodle smothered with a gelatinous, golden shrimp sauce or other flavored sauce, and topped with:
Shrimp, Crushed or ground pork rind, Hard-boiled egg and
freshly minced green onion.
I also see my lil friend Letchon Baboy sitting here !!
YUMMY !!
It seem to be a stall in a street open market seling many foods. The red can are sardines.
i dont know
Lasang Pinoy
Fish prawns and mussels, and octupus, click on the picture to increase
i dont know. im not fillipino
It could be many things! It looks to be a rice dish piled over some 'long beans', so might be Sinigang na Sugpo, or Caldereta, or any one of a dozen other dishes!
The food contained by the bottom right of Filipino Christmas Food is called Pancit Palabok.
I'm not sure. It's hard to update because the picture is a little blurry. It might be some kindly of noodle (pancit) because of the tiny limes (calamansi) on the side. And for future hint, it's spelled "Filipino." Don't worry, most ethnic group butcher the word, so you were really close!
This dish is called pancit bihon (pan-seat bee-hon). It is cooked next to thin semi-clear rice noodles. It can enjoy sauteed meat such as pork, chicken or shrimp. Vegetables such as carrots, cabbage, snowpeas and celery can also be added.
