There are so many great things you can bring for potlucks... we hold potluck suppers at church all the time. Some of my fav. things to bring are - green bean casserole (super trouble-free - mix green beans, can of cream of mush soup, durkey onions in casserole dish, cook on 350 for 25 min. until bubbly & brown), baked beans w/ bbq sauce, onions, can of crushed tomatoes - heat these ingredients in casserole dish for 25 min @350 until bubbly, also you can bring cresent roll stuffed w/ ham & cheese w/ fruit farm dip on the side, or a quick dessert other goes over approaching a hit... bring some brownies, cookies or cupcakes... just to entitle a few things. If all else fail, get a veggie platter from your local produce aisle & some fish farm dip, no one can resist this. GL & HTH

Don't bring anything with mayonnaise-that will move about bad and folks will get sick.

I close to to get a big purse of frozen meatballs-borrow a crock pot if you don't have one. Dump the meatballs contained by the crock pot-cover with 1 20oz jar of BBQ sauce-nothing too sweet-more smokey.

Mix within one large spoonful of grape jelly. Mix well-turn crock pot on to thaw to slowly heat meatballs-they should be sweet and spicy warm back your lunch.
Cheesy potatoes or progress to Bakers or Walmart and get some fried chicken. Meat is other a hit!
Bring different types of samosas, that's what I other bring to potlucks...people appear to love them and they come in tons of different flavors to make happy everyones tastes.
Bring something in a crockpot that track it stays hot.

Out all sunshine? That's tough because then it can't be perishable or hot. How just about making a pasta salad the night previously using a red wine dressing and mixing in sliced roasted pepper (from a jar), tomatoes, chopped cucumbers and onions?
Seven Layer Bean Dip is other a good dish to bring to a potluck and it can be sit out all year...Hope this helps...
Out all year is not good. I would markedly go near something in a crock pot and maintain it on LOW. check it every so often for moisture. The meatball perception is good, so is the enchilada casserole - both can be kept within a crock pot.
Others: (also in crock pot)
Baked beans
Mac & Cheese
Con Queso & tortilla chips
Chili & Beans w/crackers on the side (tortillas would achieve dry)
Tamales (leave in husks and freshly steam on low all day)
Any favorite cassarole of yours can be made ahead and consequently transferred to the crock pot.
