Lemon Granita Recipe
6 lemons
4 cups water
Sugar, to essence
3 sprigs thyme
2 tablespoons limoncello
Clean and wash the lemons.
Cut rotten the top 1/4 of the lemons and shave a small slice off the bottom so it stands well. Using a grapefruit knife, cut out the flesh of the lemon and place contained by a strainer set over a bowl. Be careful not to cut through the bottom.
Stand the lemons on a cookie sheet and place within the freezer and freeze until solid.

Remove from the freezer and collect with 2 forks to break up rime. Return to the freezer and freeze until solid, about 2 to 3 hours, scrape with forks every hour or so.
When the granite is frozen, dipper it into the frozen lemon shells and serve immediately.

1(750-ml) bottle of vodka (3.17cups)(3 cups, 2 TBSP.,2.07tsp)
3 1/2 cups marine
2 1/2 cups sugar
Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons within long strips (reserve the lemons for another use). Using a small sharp knife, trim away the white pith from the lemon peel; discard the pith.
Place the lemon peels within a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the vodka over the peels and cover next to plastic wrap. Steep the lemon peels contained by the vodka for 4 days at room temperature.
Stir the hose down and sugar in a substantial saucepan over medium steam until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Cool completely. Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture. Cover and consent to stand at room temperature overnight. Strain the limoncello through a mesh strainer.
Discard the peel. Transfer the limoncello to bottles. Seal the bottles and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 1 month.

3 sprigs basil
2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
