The use of wine in religious ceremony is common to abundant cultures and regions.
The Kiddush, a blessing said before starting the first and second Shabbat or party meals and Havdallah, a blessing said after the Shabbat or festivity are required to be said over wine if available. On Pesach (Passover) during the Seder, it is also required to drink four cups of wine.[37] In the Tabernacle and in the Temple contained by Jerusalem, the libation of wine was constituent of the sacrificial service.[citation needed]
In Christian services wine is used in a hallowed ritual called Communion or the Eucharist, which originate in Gospel accounts of the Last Supper when Jesus blesses the bread and wine and nouns his followers to "do this in remembrance of me."
Wine be used in the rite by adjectives Protestant groups until an alternative arose in 1869 when Methodist minister-turned-dentist Thomas Bramwell Welch applied exotic pasteurization techniques to stop the inherent fermentation process of grape juice.[citation needed] Some Christians who be part of the growing temperance movement pressed for a switch from wine to grape liquid, and there remains an ongoing debate between some American Protestant denominations as to whether wine can or should be used surrounded by moderation for the Eucharist or for merriment. Outside the United States, most Protestant groups use wine.[citation needed] The use of wine is forbidden under Islam. Iran used to own a thriving wine industry that disappeared after the Islamic revolution in 1979.[38]

i believe it was a 1966 merlot..
i believe it be call crunk liquid...or md 20/20.
The "wine" that was served contained by those days was most probable not as potent as the wine is today. I'm sure that there be a cooking method involved to soften the fruit, some stomping of grapes or other methods of mastigation, and the placing it surrounded by jars assisted surrounded by the fermentation process.
Not sure how they made the wine, but wine was used instead of river alot because it stayed better in the goat skin that it be kept in. The grapes fermented longer, so it be stronger than todays wine.
The wine was not strong similar to they make it today. It have nothing added to it. They picked grapes and rendered the liquid from them the day they be picked. Then the juice be placed in containers and closed. It sit around 2 to many be 3 days while the fest, marriage, or last supper be prepared for the people. But it be a treat and was uncommon a lot resembling people do today. The alcohol content be low in the wine.
