Ok....I have this problem. Opening a can of biscuits scare the crap out of me. I just can't do it. I am so fearful of the "pop" that it makes. I hold literally ran and hide from someone chasing me with them threatening to initiate them and I was on the threshold about to cry. Is at hand something I can do to make this better?

What you can do is wrap the can next to a tea towel or a kitchen towel and then whack it on the side close to would normally do.
The towel will muffle the pop and contain the canister.
Just unwrap the towel and burn normally.

It can't hurt you--it's basically cardboard. Only the ends are metal, and they're not even sharp. It's much safer than opening a can, even one next to a pull-tab lid. They also don't explode--just a little dough leak out the side when you pull vertebrae the cardboard.
If you're scared of whomp biscuits, why not use Bisquik and gross fresh ones? :)

Your scared of loud noise. Get yourself used to the loud noise and consequently you will probably get used to the popping nouns that it makes.... but don't offer up... keep on making those biscuits.
i run a butter knife around the seam or lug a sharp knife and cut into the quality newspaper next to the round metal portion to let the pressure rotten then stick a butter gouge in the seam and pop it unfurl
