I recently threw an 80's shindig for my friend's 21st Birthday. It was fantastic, but finding food to serve be surprisingly hard. I don't reflect food was much different within the 80s than it is now. Candy be pretty much all I found during research (Razzles, Ringpops, Tootsie Rolls, Pop Rocks, Mike N Ikes, ets...) Here are some of the things I served however:

Cup Cakes - adorned in neon pink, purple and red frosting
Ants on a Log - it seemed resembling a good theory at the time
Fluffernutter Sandwiches - Peanut butter and marshmellow creme
Nachos
Punch - served in hot pink and blue cups

Food definately isn't the most important attraction of an 80s party - dressing up is definately the best! Don't sweat the food too much and own fun.
Just serve buns. Your guest will be forced to ask: Where's the Beef?
Twinkies! Fluffernutter sandwiches. I also found this website: http://www.inthe80s.com/food/index.shtml...
