when my daughter turned 14 we had a pizza buffet and a waltz party
The year ahead we chopped and diced all kind of topping Then the morning of the party we made a bunch of dough and rolled into little ball place them in greased cake pan cover with a moisten dish towel and put in frig. We have different sauces {pizza-Alfredo-and BBQ sauce} and the cheeses we had mozzarella, Cheddar and Parmesan
when we get ready for the get-together all we did be put everything out on counter in nice bowls> everyone have a blast laughing and joking as they made their own pizza, Then after every one ate we moved to the vault where we have set it up as a dance club, Flashing oil lamp loud music {every kids favorite things} We made up a couple different punch drinks. But the funnest part be we bought several disposable cameras and put them around and encouraged everyone to bring alot of pictures. When we got them developed we made a graze book and even had pictures to furnish to her friends as reminders. I even had a moral time and it didn't cost that much
When I was 14, I lived at the pool, and loved grilling out. Nice and cheap.
A simple tavern bq with a few close friends is other nice, roast some corn, burgers and hot dogs. Or if into healthy try some chicken on the grill the corn and I don`t know some potatoes.
here's a few ideas. how something like an over nite camp out within the back patio. you could do a Mardi gras as theme section with lots of bead and masks, a tye dye carnival, bowling, laser tag or a karaoke gathering. maybe a brand over party...enjoy someone do their hair, paint their nail, give em pedicures, tresses shampooing & conditioning, facial masks
