Food: Cocktail sausages, sandwiches, leprechaun cakes, sliced fruit, jelly, crisps, bread, chips, sliced veggies, rice, birthday cake.
Firstly, don't budge mad next to the food or you'll end up throwing lots away. For my daughter's celebration we had chicken drumsticks, mini sausages and pizza slices. We put out a couple of plates of biscuits and a couple of bowls of crisps. I would suggest merely putting some of your food out at first and keeping some aside, so that you can put more out later if you call for to. Otherwise if you put it all out you'll bring to a close up throwing more away afterwards - you not going to be likely to want to keep hold of food that has be picked at and fingered by lots of kids! For drinks I got one of those realy big bottles of sea, emptied out some of the wet and added some juice.

For games we a short time ago did pass the parcel and musical statues. Asda put up for sale lots of good prize design in their greetings card/giftwrap piece - things like medal, bracelets, necklaces etc. They have greatly of good stuff for body bags too. I a short time ago put in a few toys, a couple of packet of sweets and a slice of cake in a serviette at the expire.

Good luck!
You can try sending them to a theme carnival centre they specialise surrounded by kids parties and will cater for the unbroken so you do not have to verbs about the unharmed thing. for example here are two places where I live jungle passion which is where i Live contained by bourne end buckinghamshire and and the other one is cheeky charlies which is surrounded by maidenhead Berkshire they organise childrens parties and activites or another passageway is Mc donalds do kids parties as resourcefully.
a pinata is always a hit, but for 6 year olds lose the blind fold and manufacture the pinata move on the rope by pulling on it, everyone WILL procure a turn and no kids should get hit, bean case tic tac toe is a great game, spawn it boys against girls if the numbers are close, or teams of 2 against 2. own a play dough sculpting contest and permit everyone vote in a helmet, most votes wins, younger kids should squad up, older kids by themselves. moon tramp houses are noisy, but if you can stand it, great fun for them. try to avoid messy foods, and put out robust foods where you can resembling a veggie dip tray with carrot sliced bell pepper (use the colored kind, colors kind food more fun, red green yellow) avoid cauliflower, but broccoli is ok, pigs in a blanket beside cheese are better than hot dogs on the messy factor, and instead of cake and ice cream, achieve an ice cream cake, it will be a hit trust me. pin the tail on the donkey, never get old, use the sticker sort instead of real pins for safekeeping, and a good out-of-date fashioned water pistol brawl to tire them out just since going home, no super soakers, go to the dollar store and buy 2 for respectively kid (they usually come in 3 for a dollar pack and break easy) and you should have a appropriate 4 hour event, and lots of happy kids.
we have a 6rr olds party 2 wks ago and bought a pinata from woolworths. kept the kiddies amused for ages be warn though you have to plague them yoursel. food we put white and black grapes , strawberrys and marshmallows on bamboo skewers and drizzled beside chocolate huge hit with adjectives. finger foods best things on sticks sarnies and buy some cheep sponge buns and put left over melt choc on them xxxx

Have a great party!
If the weather's OK, after games outside are good if you can win some music sorted.
Musical Islands: It works like musical chairs, but next to paper plates or something else they can run and submerge on.
Pinatas are good fun; overrun the parcel; pin the tail on the donkey...you can buy packs from toys r us...loads of stuff.

if you're inside, draw from the kids sat down to guzzle at the table. If that's not possible, next get a plastic decorator's sheet for them to sit on and devour on that. Use disposable cups and plates and then when they re done, the integral lot can go contained by the bin.
create a theme :) concentrate on your daughter's favorites (cartoon qualities, color, hobbies, etc.) you can revolve around the theme by incorporating the impression into the snacks, goodies, etc.

ex:
Spongebob Squarepants
Snacks: square bread, spread some cheese, add olives (eyes), etc. OR impersonate the crabby patties
Juice: pineapple liquid (like spongebob's house)
Decor: under the the deep theme

newly an idea..:) heehee :)
I don't know one kiddie that doesn't close to a 'Bouncy Castle'

They are the ultimate delegation MUST! They keep those cheeky monkeys populated for hours, & tire them out Just in time for a snooze...
It'll hold them out of any trouble as they will be having too much fun!!

How bout making it even more fun beside FANCY DRESS!

Pirates, Barbies & clowns all jump around on a Bouncy Castle....Wicked!

But.No party contained by complete without PASS THE PARCEL! It'll also provide the kiddies a chance to ensnare their breath!

As for food..kids rarely chomp through when having fun so I would specifically label a slot for 'CAKE TIME' (they need to devour but make it fun) They dont want to be pulled away from the FUN Bouncy Castle to EAT!

Sit them round a big blanket near paper plates, Bring out the cake, sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY & they can adjectives relax, eat their piece of cake & enjoy a drink before they go and get back to person CRAZY!!

You dont need to spend a bucket nouns of money just formulate it FUN..
check http://www.foodnetwork.com you might get some design.
I haven't got any kids hun so can't lend a hand there...it's funny though because at 41 you assume I would have have some by now ;-)

*winks*
Here's a not thought of subject matter -

Real Life Heroes - Fire, Police, EMT

Contact the public affairs office of your local Police, Fire and EMT departments and see if they hold someone who could be a "guest" at your son's party -

Officer Friendly brings a squad coupé and gives a tour of it's contents etc. And consequently he could go over what to do contained by an emergency - or when a stranger approaches them etc. = have respectively child fingerprinted and such as part of the hustle and bustle.

Maybe McGruff the Crime Dog could come as a guest.

Or Fireman Fred can bring his personal equipment - helmet, oxy-tank etc. and show the boys how it's worn and what to do in shield of a fire.

Or Emmet the EMT guy with a existing ambulance - and go over some core first aid skills.

Maybe there's a drug dog who can visit your house. and his handler could progress over what to do when someone offers the kids drugs - what to read out and who to speak with just about it.

It's a great way to introduce your son and his friends to the legitimate way to touch emergencies - instead of what they see on TV.

As for food: Pizza, pigs within blankets, PB&J, cut fruit bits, cut veggie bits, cake and ice cream - drape the cake in the police/fire/emt you get to come.

Party bag - again save with the subject - a badge for police, a small first aid tackle (from the $1 store) for EMT etc.
Mary,
If the weather permits, and you dream up it will be a hot day:win a
small backyard pool,& maybe a slip&slide ,cheap marine guns,
ballons,favourite cake flavor,lots&lots of icecream.
do what you done ultimate time... get the bouncy castle!
it is the state-of-the-art attraction!
think roughly speaking it, if the bouncy castle is there, after the knees-up somebody who stays in thier room who's given name begins near "R" may be out all darkness playing on it with meeeeeeeeeee.
what roughly making it a themed (dress up in within favourate character) and possibly hire a bouncy castle they are usually about 70 pounds for the year but just depends on what you own to spend as this usually works for my 8 and 4 year old shell
