I"m helping beside a luncheon at a church 30-35 guests any planning on what to serve ?

last month they served sloppy joes, salad, and some kinda dessert, and we're suppose to emboss like 4 table ? (valentines theme) any ideas would serve !!

Answer:
Since this is a Valentines-themed thing, it should be style of special. I would suggest the following....big hits when I make them....crab meat buns (equal portions of butter and velveeta cheese mixed next to canned crab meat - I make a payment in green onions, and pepper and brackish too) put them on the hamburger or kaiser type buns and broil in the oven until they are slightly brown on top. With the buns I would fashion either a really nice salad or a honourable soup depending on what type of crowd you have. In appendage to that you can have ham/cheese buns for those who don't approaching seafood. Use vegetables with dips. For dessert, kind some nice cakes near decorations of those cinnamon hearts, or cupcakes next to white or butter cream frosting and those hearts.
Can never go wrong near cold cuts or finger sandwiches made out of ham, tuna or chicken salads, and/or ziti next to meatballs (can just catch the bagged meatballs within the store). Both options are assured to do for a large crowd. And afterwards serve a big tossed salad on the side with a couple of dressings. Can also manufacture a big tray of hot sausage with pepper and onions to serve alonside the ziti,
At our end valentine luncheon at church we had a spaghetti casserole, garden salad, garlic bread and for dessert we have a cake made a local bakery and decorated for valentine's time. The casserole was uncomplicated to serve, we placed the salad in individual bowls and placed the bread contained by a basket on respectively table, then cut the cake into individual pieces and placed on valentine plates. We adorned the tables next to alternating white/red tablecloth and spread a little valnetine confetti surrounded by the center of each table. It looked really nice and the serving and verbs up was smooth.
You want to step inexpensive, a pasta dish, baked ziti, garlic bread, salad or a rice based dish beside chicken is also an alternative. A Mexican theme is another hypothesis.
This is a great site for body cooking. They have tons of recipe and articles.

Ask a few nation from the church to bring a waffle iron & have a panini block. (Put fillings inside sandwich & use waffle irons to press them - don't overfill!!) Purchase assorted breads, meats, cheeses, & veggies and everyone can choose what they approaching. Serve w/ fruit salad & chips. Make a few different cakes & your done!
For dinner I'd suggest a Lasagna, with a nice garden salad along beside salad dressing choices. You could provide each table near a variety of breads to sort a complete meal. As for dessert I'd voice a bakery heart shaped cake for each table, or something festive at a bakery, even cookies!

Set up tables to product it look romantic, use candles and rose petals (your local florist may donate free). Or ask the parish for donations. Have teens serve. Do a "suggested donation" so if people can't afford to be in motion, they still can to enjoy the fellowship! Have a blessed event!
You can't have a church luncheon short jello salad and this is my most requested recipe!!

Cherry Pie Jello Salad

Prepare One large bunch of Cherry Jello using HALF as much cold water as directed.

Add one can of cherry pie padding that has be mixed with 1 Tablespoon of Sugar

Chill until set.

Mix 4 ounces of cream cheese and 8 ounces of whip topping until smooth. (use room temp cream cheese)

Fold in a small can of crushed pineapple that have been well-drained.

Spread higher than set Jello

You can sprinkle with pecans but I never do.

This serves roughly speaking 8 and is out of this world!! Good Luck!!

(Put some kind of floral arrangement at respectively table with heart picks from local florist, and consequently give them away as door prizes)
Spaghetti and meatballs! Add a nice green salad, garlic bread and you've got a treat! For dessert, cupcakes!
Make it a red and white LOVE theme.Spaghetti and meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, and cheese to top.Do the table with throw away table clothes--one red-one white.Use a picnic basket for the bread with a red or white towel surrounded by it.Red napkins,cups,plates---or with Hearts on them. The serving table wants red and white flowers(large) sitting inside by the food.Use a white table cloth under the food for contrast.Decorate the table with a pot holding a single red flower in it, later give it to the oldest sweet heart and the youngest.Make up as various different sweethearts as you have vase of flowers.Random large flowers sitting down the middle of the table add color.Go to a Dollar store,or ask your sisters to please bring flowers, table clothes,or candies. You will be surprised at what everyone brings---it will come together.Cookies and cupcakes are the dessert of choice.Have a great time.....
go to sams or costco and do a sandwich tray (cold cuts and sliced cheese), bunch of sandwich rolls, a veggie platter, and a fruit platter, and a cake. sams is soo cheap! put out chips and pretzels within heart shaped plastic bowls(find em dollar store)use red plastic cups and red paper tablecloth with those cellophane confetti heart scattered on the table
Spaghetti is a relatively unproblematic meal plan. Prepare the sauce and spaghetti ahead of time. After draining the spaghetti, place it surrounded by a Ziploc Bag and reheat it in a microwave. Salad and Garlic Bread go well near Spaghetti. Garlic Bread can be purchased at a local supermarket and all you hold to do is reheat it. Tiramisu is a Wonderful Italian Dessert. Decorations shuold revolve around Cupid and Hearts.
