Tortilla chips and salsa or quesadillas.
Quesadillas, layered taco dip (most stores sell it premade), taquitos, and bean dip beside tortilla chips.

Just be sure to leave every glass in the house unscrew and pray for a strong northerly wind, that's adjectives. ;-)
pigs surrounded by a blanket
Nachos
Sounds like fun! I would defininitely shift the Tex-Mex route and do Guac and chips, taquitoes, and queso sort of deal. Don't forget the Beano :)
It's not tex mex-- but Potato Skins. Guys LOVE Potato Skins.

1) Bake Potatoes, cut in partly. Scoop out most of the potato filling (but not ALL)
2) Cover next to cheese and bacon bits, return to oven until cheese is melted.
3) Serve near sour cream.

Another variation is "Potato Slabs"-- which would serve more. You would cut the potatoes lenthwise into strips and later bake, cover near cheese/bacon.
You amount if you're going to have something stout like Chili for dinner you'd want to do something on the lighter side for appetizers. Think a simple crudite platter but near some awesome dipping for them. Blue cheese , hummus etc. You could also do nachos or taquitos for starters too.
you enjoy to add the traditional salsa next to chips and chile con queso. a fresh fruit bar beside sweet dipping sauces such as chocolate and caramel is refreshing compared to all that mass.
Try some of these jalapeno chili poppers, corn chips, guacamole, salsa, quesadillas, hot wing and blue cheese dressing. I hope that I was some abet all of these recipe can be found on the food network.
I'd get some apposite bread for that. Maybe Jalapeno cheese bread - make bread bowls for the chili. Sour cream is righteous with chili. You could brand name that 7 layer Mexican dip. Unwrap a brick of philly cream cheese and poor a bottle of salsa resting on that. Serve with tortilla chips.
