Summer child shower?

My sister is having a child in Sept. and we're have her shower end of July. Any suggestions for a summer, sandbox, or luau themed shower?

Answer:
You might want to consider have the shower at a restaurant that has these type of atmosphere....most Big Cities hold "summer" themed restaurants.

If you are having it within your home....I would make sure everyone have umbrellas in their "virgin" drinks!! Decorate near beach ball, surf boards (if you have any), lais ("lays" flowers that walk around the neck), coconut drinking glasses (if you can find them....you could probably cause them out of coconuts pretty easily, too!), Beachy music contained by the background (Jimmy Buffet, Beach Boys, etc.). If you enjoy a pool in your backyard (or know someone who know your sister and would want to host the party) have the get-together there!!

By the channel....I have a page on my website that have SENTIMENTAL activities for the babyshower. New stuff that hasn't be played or done twenty times over!! Check it out if you like....I put the knit below!
You could walk to a nice park and do it there. It'll be a fail-safe timing- summer, you guys can surprise her. You can have a household picnic type of thing but contained by a baby shower path.
I cogitate you need 2 ask her what she like the most and just articulate u were purely wondering but don't make it 2 unexpected
We have a "Birthday party" theme for my cousin's shower.... in recent times decorate within bright colors, balloons and streamers. it works very well indoors or out. We had the cake near "Happy Birthday Baby " on it. (unless you know the sex and name)
Good Luck!
budge with the luau area
light candles adjectives over the backyard
light tourches around the patio
bbq your food
put drinks in a big tub of rime
buy laus(not sure how to spell it)and grass skirts for everyone(at the dollar store)
make tropical non-alcohlic drinks
For my relatives summer theme babe-in-arms shower, they had clothes lines set up next to baby clothes sagging on them. We used pink and blue clothes pins. Also had a big hammock set up and gifts be placed in it. The invitations go along with focus:

For my shower my family did fish/under the deep-sea theme bc it be in August. It be so much fun. They had marine shells everywhere and fish decorations hanging from the tent, Teal tablecloth, and various size fish bowls occupied with food and desserts.

I presume a luau would be fun too..here's a link w/ some philosophy:

Like most garden parties, a Luau Baby Shower Theme requires a few simple supplies. Just buy some garden torches and colorful balcony lights and maybe even some Leis (a necklace usually made of flowers or leaves) for your guests to wear (Try using the flower of that month).

Put on some reggae and calypso music to really assist your guests feel similar to they’re in the tropics.

The food you serve should also verbs the Tropical Theme. Put out a platter of strawberries, passion fruit, mango and pineapple slices along beside some punch. If the shower runs into lunch or dinnertime, then consider have a barbeque.

If you’re buying the invitations, look to see if you can find some with palm trees on them to assist set the tone before the big time.

If your budget allows, decorate beside flowers native to Africa or Hawaii. Visit your local florist shop and ask which exotic flowers they hold available. They should have a record with pictures and the cost. Some of the more divine flowers from South Africa include Orchids, Violets and those found on Silk trees.

You could have a Moroccan Theme Baby Shower resembling Britney Spears and welcome guests by walking them on a footsteps of rose petals into a tent made of bamboo. Britney and her guests afterwards had a slap-up meal of different dishes including Tagine. Tagine is a stew usually containing a mixture of vegetables, poultry or lamb, often next to the addition of fruit. It have a thick rich spicy sauce which is thicken due to the long cooking process and is generally served beside bread, couscous or rice. Tagine refers both to the cooking pot as well as a stew cooked within it.

Go to the dollar store, I've seen alot of cute cheap stuff beside palm trees on it.
