Answer:
My partner the chef states that you'll need 5-6lbs of 30-36 per pound shrimp. What that finances is the size of the shrimp and for shrimp cocktail 30-36 per pound is a good size. I would lean towards 6lbs. as you never can own to much when you are entertaining, Ice em up and have a right party.
15 or so, depending on what else you're serving. 1/2 of pound per person.
Two pounds of shrimp per person should do it. Some inhabitants will eat more, but some family will eat a lesser amount of. Then there are some that lately don't like shrimp and won't devour any.
That is frozen to say but consequently again many culture really do like shrimp terribly much like I do so, if you can afford it, allow one pound or more, per soul.I am sure they will fly off the table.
It would depend on the size shrimp you use but we can easily amount this out. If we were to use 20 count headless shrimp per pound, which are a nice sized shrimp, I would numeral 2-3 shrimp per person. I'm assuming that within will be other hors de ouvres as well. If within are no other selections, next double the shrimp.
4.5# of shrimp will feed 30 folks 3 per person.
First of all, prefer what size shrimp you are going to serve them. Betty Crocker has one of the simplest charts to read, so I enjoy included it. On the same website is also a guide to planning food for a crowd below "charts and references".
Smaller shrimp sometimes make inhabitants want to take more as defiant larger which make them guess they are getting more. They figure if they can mound a bunch of them on their plate then adjectives is good, but beside the larger ones if only two fit they are usually content next to them and fill up next to the rest of the spread on the buffet. Usually they will come back, but with the sole purpose take one or possibly two more.
Hope this help.
Allow 4 oz per party, cooked... so about 8 lbs of cooked shrimp, something like 10 lbs. raw (headless, peeled)
I'd say you want about 750 shrimp to nurture those peeps. This will confer everyone at least 25 shrimps respectively.
I would brand name about four types of appetizers (one can be the shrimp) plus cheese and crackers (a favorite for wine taste parties).....you will need 4-5 hor d'oeuvres per soul....depends on your budget, you can plan one shrimp per person or three, but I would hold a selection, some general public actually don't guzzle shrimp ....and, contrary to answer #1, most people don't expect to receive a meal of the appetizers!
It depends what size of shrimp you are serving 31-40, standard. The numbers are how many shrimp are within each pound roughly. I don't know what you are serving or how you are preparing it, but I would budge for 3 lbs as some people are shrimp whores and some are not, but digit 2 to 3 pieces each.
if the party is at dinner time, folks will munch through lots.
it really depends what and how much other foods you are serving.
The shrimp is always the most popular.
decree 1/2 pound per person.....
that's roughly speaking a dozen large shrimp per entity.
