I'm hosting Xmas dinner here with people, and husbands parents. I am looking for some neat concept to decorate the dinner table.
For Example: I made candy rattan reindeers, Im thinking of putting one in everyones wine glass/cup.

Have you ever see an apple and pinapple tree? It is , I think, originally from Williamsburg VA and make a wonderful centerpiece. Find a cone shaped piece of wood and put nails adjectives over it about 2 " apart. Be sure and put a long one on the top. Just pop your apples from the bottom to the top making sure the smaller apples are at the top. Place a complete pineapple that is of suitable size on the nail at the top. Fill in between the apples near either boxwood or pine. It smells as fitting as it looks.
I chock-a-block a bowl with red and green m&m's, I also sprinkled the table beside red and green hershey kisses. If you have napkins you can tie ribbons around them. You could wrap your reindeer within the napkins. A small plant with small candles on both sides of it, small so you can see over it.
That's great! You could also garnish respectively plate with a sprig of holly or mistletoe, or even newly mint if it's hard to find. Garnish the serving dishes beside some raw cranberries and parsley or kale.
A clear vase or bowl (or two or three) layered beside pine cones, bright round glass tree ornaments, and for a while glitter.

Tie some bows around the wine eyeglasses. Lay a wreath in the middle of the table and put one of those big candles contained by the middle of the wreath. I f you have any excess candy canes, fold the napkins up close to a fan and tie near ribbon and a candy cane.
scented pine cones, individual votive candles at respectively place, sachets of potpourri. plastic champagne flutes occupied with potpourri and a couple cinnamon stiks tied beside a bow. let the kids build paper napkin rings, contruction newspaper personalized with their own drawings. I use to buy the clear chalice ball ornaments, shoulder bag of potpourri, open the ornaments and steep, then use a hot bonding agent gun to add ribbon, bead, bows, etc. give them away to friends as a keepsake. you can cart the regular solid colored balls and write name, dates, etc beside the liquid paint pen (bottles). look thru craft magazines, online, contained by walmart, magazine rack at the grocery store, you don't have to buy to browse for accepted wisdom.
These are adjectives great ideas. I really similar to candles. I usually buy small glass bowls and float candles contained by them. It would be pretty to color the water one color and hold a candle of a different color floating in it. It really make the table very classy looking.
Cranberries in a clear hose filled jug w/ white flowers or bright red flowers. Scented floating candles in chalice bowls. Red cloth napkins in glass/cup. I would also do pretty place cards w/ your guest's first name on them w/Xmas designs.
I spread tall cup vases of varying height with cranberries and sea, then float a (unscented) candle on top. A few days to a week formerly, I also make my on rime vessels to hold shrimp. and cold hors de'vours. Simply purloin a big bowl (metal works best), put some water contained by it, then whip a smaller bowl and place it inside the bigger bowl, weigh down the smaller bowl with a pod of frozen vegetables so the water is pressed down. Place it surrounded by the freezer overnight. You can un-mold the bowl by setting it into warm river (which will release the ice inside). What you are gone with is a lovely ice bowl. Sometimes I will also put some evergreen sprigs contained by the water until that time I freeze it. Looks very pretty!
A really great idea is an Ica Luminaire (sp). Take a life-size pail and compress with marine. Then, in the middle of the container of water, cargo a soup can or other object (this will form where on earth you will put the candle). You can leave the hose down clear, or add food colouring. You can supply pine cones, cranberries, ivy...anything (get creative!) before it freezes, or newly leave it plain. Then freeze until SOLID! Warm the outside of the container and the soup can so it loosens the mold, and remove the ice. MAKE AHEAD, SINCE YOU MAY NEED TO EXPERIMENT TO FIND THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE AND SIZE, ETC. For you get-together, pull it out of the freezer and place on a tray to collect the marine as it melts. Find a candle and place inside. Light it, it looks pretty (even better if you can dim the lights a little bit). Just remember after dinner to check the tray and dump excess dampen.
Depending on the size you make, it should second a few hours (The bigger the better). To Hide the tray, place an evergreen ring around. I make lots of these and oil lamp them outside. I put them all the style down the walk. They don't unfreeze if it's cold enough. Looks so pretty!
