How do I know if my plates are oven undamaging?

I want to serve my guests with hot plates (keeping the basic dish on the plates in the oven so food doesn't cool) how do I know if my plates can resist the fry? I don't think the oven would be on any superior than 150 or whatever obligatory to keep the food thaw out while the soup/salad is served....

Answer:
It's not good to put obedient China in the oven. If it's Gorham I would really verbs about it. But, the smartest entity to do is to contact the manufacturer. Gorham is still contained by business and I am sure that they would be more than happy to enlighten you what to do. Ok, I didn't really answer your question, but if you google the company, you can carry a phone number for them and go to the source. Better to be secure than sorry. You don't want to have to replace the pieces. I do not put my fitting china in the oven, I simply put everyday pieces in. Good luck, net that phone call.
What brand are they, google it or phone the store where you bought them. No label, try something else.
usally the brand tell you but if not later google the brand and ask if it is oven safe
you can also christen a certin hotline kinda thing and it tell you
They usually influence it when you buy it....just salary more attention.
For sanctuary, try and use dishes that are ovenproof, check on the bottom of the dish if they are.
If you enjoy your oven on just the melt setting your plates should be fine for the small amount of time you are talking roughly speaking.
I used to work for a catering company and we kept china plates in warmers adjectives the time for dinners we served.
Find them surrounded by a store and read the labels....
