Good heavens, I haven't be to a fondue party since the '60's! My mom loved fondue, and we ate it on a regular idea. I wonder what ever happened to that little avacado green fondue pot and the wooden handle "spears" with the colored dots so nobody could possibly take the wrong one?
Sure, count me in! I'll even bring the grapes, melon chunks, strawberries, and pineapple for the chocolate dessert fondue. Gotta own that, or it just isn't a fondue do! ;-)

This is a recipe for:
(Classic Fondue)
1/2 lb. Emmenthaler cheese 1 tbs. lemmon juice
1/2 lb. Gruyere cheese 2 tbs. flour
1 clove garlic 3 tbs. kirsch
2 cups dry white wine soup?on of nutmeg & paprika
Finely dice or coarsely shred cheese. It will melt better than if finely grated. Cut garlic cloves contained by half. Rub fondue pot or saucepan and wooden spoon near cut side of garlic clove and then discard. Pour wine into pot and set over moderate steam. When hot (never boil), add lemon liquid. Lightly tossd flour with cheese. Drop by handfuls into hot wine. Stir constantly near wooden spoon. Allow each enclosure to melt back adding the subsequent. Continue stirring in a numeral eight motion until cheese is melted. Add kirsch and spices and serve. Enjoy.!
I make fondue every New Years Eve and it other so much fun. We have come to telephone it FUNDUE! If you are making cheese fondue I recommend using all the veggies that you love. Just don't steam them too much otherwise they will tip out apart in the dipping of the cheese. I hold used pearl onions, asparagus, broccoli, baby potatoes and even cornichons (a type of pickle) that my best friend swears by!
Sound Fun!! The best fondue that I ever had I ate at a German Restaurant. They mixed beer surrounded by it, and served it with pieces of rye bread.
