Depends on the cheeses you want to serve. Pears, apples and grapes work well beside most cheeses, pears especially pair powerfully with bleu cheeses. Apples and cheddars are really matched resourcefully. Grapes can run with almost any cheese, I prefer them with softer white cheeses. Most people serve apples, pears, grapes, and sometimes berries, because they aroma good beside an assortment of cheeses, and they hold up well. You don't want anything that wil drip, resembling citrus. I hate cheeses that procure soggy from having liquid get on them.
