I am looking for some christmas lunch concept to serve two adults and two children.?

Because there is solitary the four of us its hard working out xmas lunch - any planning?

Answer:
a couple of years ago, because my birthday is christmas and i was feed up of all the drinking meaty of food on my birthday, and having to settle for sprouts roasties and other chrimbo veg ( i be a vegan at the time) we go to the local balti takeaway on christmas eve and got a nouns of meals, some meaty, some veggie and sundries and naan bread etc etc and heated them up un christmas afternoon, cheaper than turkey et al and also not as dangerous as you might have a sneaking suspicion that.

yummy yummy balti curry, eat it up contained by a hurry
beer
Raindeer burgers.
Pizza.
Oh yes
Bake a small chicken stuff it with stuffing.
Make homemade mac and cheese
cranberry sauce
rice and beans

Make the darkness before christmas and put away for dinner
Then, lunch for christmas

Good Luck
Roast duck - not everyday food next to the usual veg.

You can buy turkey joints if a turkey is too big for you.

Salmon.

Roast Beef.

Ask the kids what their favorie is - you could cessation up with pancakes but so what?
Lunch is more of a snack before Christmas dinner. I approaching to keep it simple so that it slips within between gift passage and dinner preparations. My grandkids always like what I do.

A couple of pounds of the frozen precooked shrimp (defrosted, of course), some cocktail sauce, a fresh veggie tray with veggie dip, and some humus and cheese and crackers. Add some sliced pepperoni and conceivably some bite sized fruit and it can sit on the table to snack on between playing with hot toys.
Turkey.
Roast Beef/ Turkey with roasted potatoes
A salad ( not sure what salad)

Dessert : Plum pudding
Soup and beerbread. It is soooo good! Tastefully Simple make great and healthy food. Just affix water to the soup and simmer. The beerbread can be made next to any drink with fizzz.....dont hold a beer? Thats ok, use a soda, sprikling cider, creme soda, anything! You have to freshly try it. CHEAP too!! My husband loves the Cheesy Pepper Soup with the Bountiful Beer Bread. He puts the bread contained by the soup.

MY FAMILY HAS NEVER HAD 'LUNCH' ON CHRISTMAS DAY. WE ALWAYS SNACK ALL DAY BECAUSE IT TAKES ALL DAY TO PREPARE THE CHRISTMAS MEAL (TURKEY AND ALL THE STUFF YOU JUST HAD FOR THANKSGIVING). WE JUST EAT SLICED CHEASE, CRACKERS, VEGETABLE PLATTERS, DIPS, CRACKERS; BASICALLY EVERY DIP YOU EVER WANTED TO TRY MAKING, ALONG WITH EVERY DIFFERENT CRACKER THEY SELL AT THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE, EVERY VEGETABLE YOU CAN CUT UP AND PUT IN A SERVING TRAY, AND, OF COURSE, RANCH DRESSING, AND EVERY ONE OF THOSE SNACK BASKETS YOU GOT FOR CHRISTMAS, I.E., ANY HOMEMADE FUDGE, COOKIES, BISCUITS, FRUITCAKE, OR MAIL-ORDER SAUSAGE BASKETS YOU GET AS GIFTS THAT COME WITH CHEESESES AND DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSTARDS.

I ALWAYS FIX THE SNACKS THE DAY BEFORE SO I CAN CONCENTRATE ON COOKING CHRISTMAS DINNER WHILE EVEREYONE IS PLAYING WITH THEIR NEW 'TOYS' THAT THEY GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. IT KEEPS THEM OUT OF MY HAIR, PLUS THAT'S WHAT MY MOM ALWAYS DID.

ALSO, I LIKE TO HAVE BREAKFAST PLANNED AHEAD TOO, SO I GET A CHANCE TO PLAY WITH MY 'NEW TOYS' TOO.
