Make three 9" by 13" cake. Let cool and wrap. Get a couple of cans of white frosting, strawberries, and blueberries. These should travel capably. When you get to your mother-in-law's, unwrap the cake, frost and make a design of American flags over the cakes next to the berries. Fruit salad is always honourable for any occasion especially for something outside and it's high-speed and easy to kind but I'm not sure how long it'll stay fresh without a fridge since your gonna be on a train an adjectives
anything chocolate. I suggest 2 big chocolate mouse cakes from Costco, or some other bakery. Home made is even better. Be creative beside any recipe!
fresh fruit with a fruit dip ( marshmellow cream mixed beside cream cheese) it is very piquant and very sweet. Maybe you could boil some cookies or cupcakes
that's a tough one.esp if you have to rob a train.an assortment of fruits? Take them whole and dry-clean / cut them up after you get in that.
Hi thorn360,

Watermelon=inject needle next to 1/2 bottle of Raspberry vodka or any kinda booze, & leave surrounded by refrigerator over night & when you bring back to get together put on rime, if kids will be there any kinda fruit=grapes, cherries or watermelon the you could adjectives have a contest who can spit the seed the farthest. But the best entity would be S'mores=2 1/2 pieces of graham crackers, 1/4 to 1/2 Hershey 's bar & a roasted marshmellow slammed between em other a big hit at any family, friends, kids bring together. Have fun. :0)
i say anything close to cheesecake, cake, flan, chocolate ice cream (mmm my favorite) any type of fruit bowl kinda entry, uhmm yeah theses are my thinking, oh and maybe chocolate chip cookies other good :)
Go to the local bakery within advance & bring cakes &/or cookies that can be frozen. Just describe the bakery worker what you have going on & they will be glad to assist. Freeze them, then put them within whatever you can transport them in, such as a box. Put a cloak of cardboard between the cakes if needed to hang on to the top one from mashing the lower one. They will stay cool until you are geared up for them, & any chocolates won't melt & capture runny.
fruit salad, trife, four layer deligt,
jello cake
i would purely buy a TON of fresh berries- mostly strawberry, with anything is seasonal at the moment (rasp. or blackberries are perfect). just clean, cut the tops off, sprinkle next to sugar and a tiny bit of lemon juice. THIS IS THE MAGIC- affix a shot or two of grand marnier or cointreau. agree to soak. you could do this before you bring back on the train and bring it along for REALLY saturated fruit, or do it when you bring to your in-law's, it's delicious whether it soaks for 15 minutes or 2 hours. buy pound cake, muffins, or purely whipped cream for a really reliable early summer dessert.

i once made this dish catering an event for 150 general public where i did NOT enjoy time to fuss with anything and also have to travel, etc, and it worked like a charm. if you DO establish to buy ingredients and then travel, freshly buy airplane-sized bottles of liqueur so you're not the creep on the train with lots and lots of alcohol :)

seriously, it's a no-brainer, no-loser!
Rice Krispy treats recipe on the box. My sister surrounded by law make them for all of clan events and they are always a big hit. Really simple rice krispys and melt marshmellows.
How casual is the menu for the rest of the banquet? Maybe a big tray of assorted cookies? If the meal will be grilled out, a full of flavour, easy, and imposing dessert is grilled fruit, drizzled with honey and/or served near vanilla ice cream. Yum! And you could only bring a big sack of apricots or peaches on the train and slice them in partially to grill when you get to the get-together. (Ask someone who lives nearby to pick up the rime cream and put it in the freezer.) Or, if there's a grocery store along the course, you could pick up some ice cream and own a "make your own sundae" set up beside ice cream, fruit, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, etc. Enjoy the bash!
