Is a cake expected?

Tomorrow I'm having a apt female friend over for dinner. It is for the excuse of her birthday which is the daylight after tomorrow. Do I need to boil a cake for the occasion? Or is a nice home cooked dinner near say, rime cream for dessert, just as fine?

Answer:
I would not deliberate it's expected since it will only be the 2 of you, but it would be nice and more of a birthday celebration if you added let's read aloud a cupcake with a single candle.

If not, I for sure don't see your friend complaining about your free home cooked suppertime in her honor!

Good luck!
cake is traditional, if its a birthday party cake should be involved somehow.
Yes, you are obliged by regulation to bake a cake. Failure to do so could result contained by a prison sentence of up to 3 years and a fine of $1000. Come on! Do you really think that a apposite friend is really gonna be bothered if you make a cake or not? (But of late in casing you make one anyway, it should be a chocolate one next to icing on the top!)
scorch a cake
put candles on it
and sing happy birthday
There's no hard and quick rule that you have to own a birthday cake to celebrate one's birthday. If you're have a friend over for dinner to celebrate her birthday, though, you should receive it a special occasion. Cupcakes might also be nice...something that you can wispy a candle on for her to blow out. Or, if you want to be really cheesy, get some Hostess cupcakes and muted them with candles.
if she is actually special lift her out to dinner
No, you don't but I'm sure it'd be appreciated.

Technically though, it's not her birthday even so.
You don't necessarily hold to do a cake, but as its the day in the past her birthday she might expect one and as you have already brought the cake mix why don't you surprise her near it.

But what you should do is still do the home cooked dinner and then hold a light dessert enunciate a fruit salad or strawberries and raspberry's, something light and next after wards when the two of you hold just have a general chit chat later get the cake and hold a few candles on it and sing happy birthday to her, that would be a lovely surprise
buy a cake
Cupcakes would be honest. Cake is cliche so it probably is expected.
no cake is not expected - freshly make sure and put a candle within the ice cream :)
bake the cake. it will singular take a total of an hour out of your natural life. just do it.
would not think it's expected since it will singular be the 2 of you, but it would be nice and more of a birthday celebration if you added let's say a cupcake beside a single candle.

If not, I certainly don't see your friend complaining in the region of your free home cooked meal within her honor!

Good luck!
No, form an ice cream dessert close to put the ice cream within a pretty glass and supply some fresh berries and drizzle chocolate/ caramel syrup over it with some powdered sugar and ...... BAM BAM..... your done!

It's adjectives about presentation. don't forget a sm candle for her's.
