I recently come across an article, that during a mother and child time together, mother would make a regular pie and the child would duplicate the process using a jar lid. However, the article does not read out how to bake the Jar Lid Pie, merely that it was done and the pie be single serving and ediable. Those of us watching our waist line would similar to to give it a try for an occasional treat short too much guilt. Can anyone help me near this recipie idea? Thanks

Answer:
I suppose you could as long as here is no rubber seal surrounded by the lid such as pickle jars etc.
I used to do this beside my children but I used large adjectives tins.Just put a bit of water surrounded by the parts of the tins you aren't using.
Works fine.
Wow! I love that thought... I'll have to try it out.. I'm guessing if you do a frame on the lid pie, it would be done when it looks like a finished big pie, golden brown and glossy.. hm.. I say aloud just trial and error.. lol.
