Jamie Oliver's prawns next to spaghetti.
you need prawns, dried chilli flakes, garlic, chalice of wine, sundried tomatoe pesto, spaghetti and rocket.
Very cheap...very spur-of-the-moment and Delicious! If you want the instructions I will provide them.it's delish!
Hope its warm and served grilled sardines approaching they do on the Algarve, can get plenty for lb20 serve beside a lovely fresh salad and plenty of big beef tomatoes and crusty bread...I would have it beside a nice Pinot Grigio White...chilled of course.
spaghetti and meatballs or meat sauce
Sometimes simple can be well turned-out.
If you live near a fishing port use that to your profit.
I would find a nice inexpensive fish, season it with some fresh herb, sea saline & fresh pepper, pan fry surrounded by a little butter and olive grease.
Serve it with some boiled tot or fingerling potatoes that you have poured melt butter and fresh minced parsley over.
Along side make a nice simple salad of some kid greens, maybe some sliced strawberries & a drizzle of olive grease and balsamic vinaigrette.
A clean crisp white wine and you own a lovely dinner.
i would go to the fish shop and grasp fish an chips 3 times and ice cream for afters. abottle of lemonade would be worthy, good luck near your meal. hope my answer help.
this is a really good recipe, and i hatred fish! just attach a nice salad or green vegies (you don't want your food to be all one color) attach a crisp chardonay or a pinot grigio and your set!
Parmesan Fish Fillets
2/3 cup pamesan cheese
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika (optional)
1/4 cup milk
1 egg; bested
1/4 cup butter; melted
1/3 cup sliced or slivered almonds
2 lbs fish fillet; 1/4 inch thick
(catfish, cod, tilapia... i recommend tilapia)
Preheat oven to 350 degree.
Combine parmesan cheese, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika within a shallow dish (like a pie tin/pan). mix milk and eggs together in a seperate dish. Melt butter.
Soak fish contained by eggs and milk. Dip and dust the fillets and the flour mixture.
Place fish surrounded by a glass baking container. Pour melted butter over fish. Top beside almonds.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until fish is done.
Get some fresh salmon fillets, grill next to a little garlic and herb and serve with asparagus, foreign potatoes and hollandaise sauce. Will take you more or less 20 minutes in total, serve beside sauvignon blanc (white wine) and you should still have satisfactory money left over to buy a cheesecake for pudding!
(had this for dinner myself closing week. The 3 salmon fillets cost just about lb6, the bag of foreign potatoes was 99p, the bunch of asparagus be 99p, fresh hollandaise sauce was in the region of lb2 or you can get packet mix for around 70p - adjectives Sainsburys, the wine should cost you about lb5 if you run for something popular like Ernst & Gallo and a nice lemon cheesecake will be almost lb3)
Enjoy!
sea bass, exotic potatoes, broccoli, carrots, corn. dry white wine.
grasp the fish monger to descale the fish, gut it and head and tail it.
Mmmm I be going to answer this question but divvy23 said pretty much what I would...
Wine astute, try a Muscadet de Sevre et Maine sur lie which is correct quality and you can find slightly cheaply, maybe a Pinot Gris from the north of Italy. Or I other find Sauvignon Blanc goes other with fish, if you want to spend a moment or two bit more look for a English wine (Gewurtztraminer or Seyval) bit pricey and harder to find but well worth it.
I hope you enjoy a lovely dinner party!
OK the prices are base on my local Sainsburys but here goes...
