I'm looking for a correct banana bread recipe?

I had a really well-mannered one, but now I've lost it! I've tried a couple from websites, but didn't similar to them, any not-so-secret recipes you might share?
Thanks!

Answer:
I own been making this recipe for years. I've tried others here and here, but I keep coming rear legs to this one. It's a simple and easy recipe; you combine virtually adjectives of the ingredients in a bowl and mix, so you don't enjoy to create a dry mix and a wet mix (and dirty 2 bowls!) as you do within many muffin and immediate bread recipes.

The recipe is for Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, but if you don't want the chocolate, freshly omit them and you will enjoy a great banana bread. I usually do not bother getting the mixer out to blend this batter; it is fine to do it by hand beside a spoon. Also, you can use either regular shortening or butter-flavored shortening. The recipe comes from a cookbook call "Great American Brand Name Recipes Cookbook."

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup mash ripe bananas (about 3 small)
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Grease bottom only of a 9x5x3 inch loaf jar; set aside. Combine all ingredients except mini chips and walnuts within a large mixer bowl; blend powerfully on medium speed. Stir within mini chips and walnuts.

Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degree for 60-80 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in middle comes out verbs. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on flex rack. Yield: 1 loaf
