I have a four year ancient that has ssensory issues, and like to chew on things. We have discovered he like shewy foods like marshmallows and licorice, but get too hyper if he has deeply of sugar. I need polite ideas for chewy snacks that are in good health and low in sugar. I hold explored the whole foods stores and considered items such as dried pineapple, papaya, mango, etc. The problem is the added sugar. I own settled for dried apples with the texture of marshmallows. All righteous ideas will be appreciated.

Any food that states it is low in sugar, is usually high surrounded by fats and vice versa, if it is low contained by fat, it is illustrious in sugar, nearby does not seem to be a in good spirits medium surrounded by this world, where we can adjectives honestly eat well and feel moral about it. If we be all to get hold of too healthy, the food manufacturer would go broke, don't you infer?

Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup peanut butter
5 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 cup applesauce
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup toasted oat cereal rings
2/3 cup wheat germ
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degree F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking jar.
In a large bowl, stir together the peanut butter, corn syrup, applesauce, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, stir together the oats, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, cereal rings and wheat germ. Stir the dry ingredients into the peanut butter mixture until evenly coated. Press weakly into the prepared pan.
Bake or 25 to 30 minutes surrounded by the preheated oven, or until slightly golden. Cool in the tub on a wire rack. Cut into bar.
They sell chewy granola bar that have smaller quantity sugar than the regular ones. They're made by quaker and make great in good health snacks.
You could invest in a food dehydrator and engineer all kind of chewy treats without adding together anything.
