Betty Crocker is great for recipe and rather technique.

Joy of Cooking (the Bible!) is great for technique, great for recipe, but may be more than you really want to brazen out. The single point I don't close to nearly it is no color photos.

One of my favorite key technique books is one call Essentials of Cooking by James Peterson. It give stunning color photos of newly nearly any technique a 'home chef' could ever want or have need of. Teaches everything from making mayonnaise, broth, and pasta to fillet fish, butchering chickens, and trimming a rack of lamb. I significantly suggest it.

So you are a trainee and want to be paid something appropriate as very well. You could buy adjectives the cookbooks contained by the world and still not carry in that. Try a magazine call Cuisine at Home. The recipe are straight forward and simple. You will closing up beside something that looks close to you really know what you are doing and didn't bear a huge amount of hard work or 10 million ingredients. I hold be cooking for years and can cook anything and I even realize the recipe are great.
