What can I substitute for butter/Margarine?

I'm using Pillsbury Cake mix (Golden Butter Recipe) and it calls for 1 cup sea, 1/3 cup butter or margarine, and 3 eggs .. the problem is I don't have satisfactory butter .. what can I use instead?? and do you think its going to come out impossible to tell apart??

Many people hold found (because they are trying to reduce fat) that applesauce can be substituted contained by the same amount for grease or butter/margarine. The baked product comes out just as ably, and with the correct texture.

Remember, though, that the package mix you're using is called Golden Butter Recipe. It's intended to taste resembling butter. So even though you'll get a nice product, you're going away out the ingredient that's supposed to give the cake its distinct flavor.
do you own shortening? You can use the same amount of shortening as butter.

Or you can use grease, but you will need to cut posterior on the amount of water.

Just use what you enjoy, you don't need the full 1/3 cup. Add oneTBL grease.

olive oil..you can even put olive grease in the freezer and it will coagulate like butter..consequently refrigerate for daily use..it's right for you too...the more "virgin" the oil the stronger the aroma.

I'm not sure about the olive grease suggestion especially extra virgin, since it will have a flavoring of olives, not something desirable surrounded by a cake.

I suppose since most margarine are modified oils, you could use a more indistinct oil approaching vegetable oil.
