Are you using a smoker or a kettle grill?

If you're using a a smoker afterwards yes, it's the heated smoke that's doing the cooking.

If you're using a kettle grill near indirect grill, one and only if you're coals dance out will you necessitate to join charcoal.

It really depends if you're using a grill/bbq/smoker.
