A simple rice side dish next to flavor. Help?

I've tried herbed rice, lemon rice, rice cooked in broth, and a few other recipe but it always taste bland unless I pour some kind of sauce over it. I want a rice dish that can stand alone as a side minus adding seriously of fat. I have some once at a Greek restaurant (The Mad Greek) but I've been inept to duplicate it. What am I missing?

Well, I was going to confer you a rice-a roni-ish recipe, but you said you've tried herbs and broth.
Try drizzling a touch sesame oil over your cooked rice. It is so unbelievably aromatic and flavourful that doesn't take much at adjectives, so not a worry for round content, and it is good for you anyway. In insert to this you could add somewhat chili sauce or seaweed sprinkles or a touch of soy sauce.
Or, try stirring in for a moment pesto.
Any flavor of Rice A Roni.
If you take spices and spice it up it help alot, some of my favorites is spike(by gaylord hauser) you can find it in some grocery market, most health food stores and on vitaglo.com, in that are also lots of mixed kinds of spices that you can attach any flavor to the rice, I also add a touch of garlic powder and soy sauce to liven it up a bit..another angelic one is add a dry packet of the onion soup mix or dry packet of fish farm dressing to the rice and mix in economically, this really livens it up without alot of hassle...hope it help

you need some :
garlic
partially an onion
can of tomato sauce
a cup of rice
can of corn
and some maggie chicke flavor

put half onion and garlic to your piece in a pot beside alot of oil next to one cup of rice at high warmness
after a nice toast strain the oil out and put 2 cups of dampen with rice at giant heat , stirr a small can of tomato sauce two table spoons of knoor pouder and a can of green giant corn nibblets adjectives at the same time stirr adjectives when brought to a boil stop stirring cover th pot and put the heat at the lowest rank for about ten minutes and savour
My mom used to cook this for my siblings and me when we were childlike:

Just take a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. Season it next to a little saline, pepper, and maybe some chopped onions. Add that to the top of your rice. It's tasty and very low grease!
Bacon, Egg and Mushroom Fried Rice
Servings: 2
Level of difficulty: Easy
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 eggs, overwhelmed
80g unsmoked Bacon, chopped into small pieces
50g frozen peas
100g shitake mushrooms, diced
250g cold cooked rice
dash of street light soy sauce
dash of Sesame grease

Method
1. Heat a wok over a high warmth and add the vegetable grease.

2. Tip the beaten eggs into the wok, stir to scramble, after remove and set aside.

3. Put the bacon into the same wok and stir fry until browned and slightly crisp.

4. Throw surrounded by the frozen peas and mushrooms and stir fry for less than a minute. Add the rice and mix ably until the rice has broken down.

5. Return the eggs to the wok. Season near light soy sauce, sesame grease and a pinch of white pepper. Serve immediately
Greek Rice--one of my favorite recipe

To 2 tablespoons olive oil have 1 medium onion chopped and saute until translucent. Then include 1/4 cup pine nuts, 1/4 c chopped fresh dill, 1/4 cup raisins or craisins, 2 cloves chopped garlic.
To this add 2 cups wash and drained Uncle Bens parboiled rice (not instant) and saute in olive grease for a minute. Add salt to partiality and 4 cups Chicken broth. Cover and put on simmer after comes to a boil. Cook for 20-25 minutes when rice cooked and water wrapped up.
