Can home made spaghetti sauce next to meatballs & sausage contained by it be refrozen?

I cooked and froze home made spaghetti sauce with meatballs & sausage. For Easter dinner I thaw and heated up a few containers, but I ended up beside more left over than I have anticipated. I was other told that it shouldn't be refrozen, but I wonder how valid that information is. Would it be safe to refreeze the sauce, or is this a big no-no?

Answer:
it shouldn't be that big of a problem b/c everything within the sauce has be cooked, but anytime you unthaw something, there are risks for microbes...etc....any drastic temp. changes greatly affect the flavor and also affect the safekeeping of the sauce. I say if you froze it and you thaw out it again, that should definitely be the ultimate leg.
Dont unsystematic it
My mom does it and it still taste good to me and I'm a picky eater but its up to you really.
don't do that eat it while in that fresh it taste better fresh and i won't do that if i be you so don't do it
No, once meat is frozen and defrost it cannot be refrozen again.
