I'm looking for a brisket recipe. I will consequently shred the meat to be served on rolls.?

Several years ago I attended an informal 4th of July where the hostess served shreded brisket on/with rolls. It be so good! All I remember is she added a can of Coke while cooking it and she cooked it surrounded by a large roaster. Do you enjoy the recipe? Thanks!

This brisket recipe does not have coke and you serve on tortillas but it is succulent!

Put the brisket in a dutch oven ( no seasoning)
Add salsa-enough to cover brisket I mix milieu and hot
cover and cook for hours i usually do 5 hours
occasionally flipping the brisket and putting the salsa thats cooking back resting on the meat.

when cooked-shred shred shred the brisket then add on back to the pot of salsa stir after place in tortillas

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I

INGREDIENTS

* 4 pounds beef brisket
* salt to bite
* 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 cup barbecue sauce
* 1 cup water

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 325 degree F (160 degrees).
2. Sprinkle both sides of brisket with saline, pepper and garlic powder. Place in a hulking covered roasting pan.
3. Cook covered beside no water at 325 degree F (160 degrees C) allowing 1 hour per pound.
4. Before finishing hour of cooking, remove brisket and slice. Return slices to pan and join barbecue sauce mixed with marine. Cover meat with sauce, cover, and cook 1 hour longer.
slow cooker works best. I've made a brisket with a can of cola and a small can of tomato attach before. It come out OK; but a little too sweet. Now I use a can of beef broth and a can of seasoned tomato cement.
Easy Brisket

1 pouch Lipton onion soup mix
1 jar chili sauce
1 can regular Coke
1 lg. untrimmed brisket

Put brisket contained by roasting pan, fatty side up. In bowl, mix soup mix, chili sauce and Coke. Pour over brisket. Cover roaster and cook in 300 level oven for at least 5 hours. Remove brisket from gravy and slice diagonally. Skim curvy off gravy and serve as sauce for the meat.
1. B-B-Q BRISKET OF BEEF
Powdered garlic
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 CAN COKE
1 c. catsup
1 brisket of beef (3 or 4 lb.)

Sprinkle brisket with garlic.

Mix coke, soup mix and catsup together. Pour mixture over brisket. Bake at 325 degree for 3 hours (loosely cover pan beside tin foil). Take out juice. Cool. Then cut meat surrounded by strips and reheat in liquid.

Good on rolls for a buffet dinner.
