Not Very! Usually no one get sick but I used to work for a linen company and occasionally I would have to ride out next to the guys to get to know the guidance and it was worrisome what we found in some of those kitchens. Gross!

There be one restaurant that left it's butter out and when it get flies in it that died, they took them out and used the butter anyway!

Be choosy surrounded by choosing restaurants, believe me.
As out of danger as anything is these days!

Sit in close proximity an exit in suitcase a rabid dog enters, avoid table by the bathroom in casing of drunken patrons and choose an establishment that has fitting reviews.

Choose food that is cooked in good health if you are still nervous - no oysters or steak tartare!

Ask the waitress to cut your food and consequently remove sharp knives, and drink obligingly so as not to choke.

Otherwise, enjoy yourself!

I really like to munch through out because it saves abundantly of time, you order and put away them go home short washing dishes or worring if it come out good or not.

Before you chomp through outside look at the location of the restaurant. If the environment there is dirty, look at the other place where on earth it is clean. Hope you close to my answer tnx.
Most places are not dangerous. They have to enjoy a decent form inspection score to stay start. They're checked pretty frequently so most places, you don't have anything to verbs about. However, at least possible in my town, 9 times out of 10, the low score from the health inspections are any Chinese or Mexican restaurants so you kind of enjoy to be careful next to them. The ones that get the low score aren't the chains, they're more like "mom and pop" restaurants.
A professional kitchen in any reputable establishment is probably safer to get through in than your own house. Kitchens are inspected regularly, by Law, by trained professionals who know what to look for. Also, you rightfully have the right to inspect the kitchen of any restaurant you devour at for yourself. If the management refuse you permission to see the kitchen, don't put away there.
It depends on the restaurant, the location, they type of food they serve, and if you can see them preparing it in front of you or not.
I don't eat out commonly, and I've never gotten ptomaine poisoning at home. I got it once at a Cub Scout picnic and twice at restaurants. The first restaurant be a local pizza place where I ate a meatball sub and the second one be a major efficient food place where I ate a roast beef sandwich. The pizza place have a fire and closed permanently and the roast beef sandwich tie up went out of business. My den mother feed me hot dogs. They must have be really old. Hot dogs are pre-cooked and full of preservatives.
Most places are pretty safe. Look at the staff, not simply the people who are cooking, but adjectives of the staff.
