My Mom used to just throw a stick of butter and the fish into a dish & it other turned out great. But sadly she have passed away & I'm clueless as to how long I should cook these three fillets. Help!

Anyway, for baking, grilling, braising, poaching, and steaming: 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
For microwaving: Throw it out, start over.
agh throw out the micro wave for cooking use the stove or oven do you want to heat or fry it how thick are the fillet. its fish it does not take long to cook it any road you choose just dont use the microwave you will murder it. It is already dead.
