Sausage Calzones

INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg. frozen pie crusts
1 lb. sweet or hot Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
2 eggs
1/3 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup diced mozzarella cheese
1 cup diced Havarti cheese
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1 egg, beaten

PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 400 degree. Soften and prepare pie crusts according to package directions. Roll out crust, if basic, to form 2 10" circles. Place each crust on one cookie sheet, side by side, letting partly of each crust extend over the side of the cookie sheet. You'll pause up folding that half of the crust over the satisfying.
Remove sausage from casings, crumble, and brown near onion, garlic, and red bell pepper in creamy skillet. Remove from heat and drain all right. Add dried basil and set aside.

Beat eggs in a small bowl and incorporate ricotta cheese. Stir into sausage mixture in skillet. Then affix mozzarella cheese, Havarti cheese, and walnuts.

Spoon half of sausage mixture onto one partly of each pie crust, going away a 1" border and mounding the filling contained by the center. Fold the unfilled side of the pie crusts over the nourishing to form a half circle. Press edges firmly to stamp, fold edges over slightly, then press again near a fork to make a showy border. Cut four 1" slits in the top of respectively crust. Brush each packed calzone with some of the outdone egg.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cut respectively calzone into 3 wedges to serve.
The directions should be on the bundle. Most say to put the links surrounded by a fry pan and incorporate enough dampen to come halfway up the links. Cover and cook over surrounding substance heat for around 10 minutes. Pour off the river and put back on the stove until browned. (make sure you roll them over during cooking) Eggs turn well near sausage. I also like to slice potatoes and fry them up contained by a small amount of oil.
grill them
I agree next to the directions for cooking above. Believe it or not, a couple of sausage links on a biscuit with a slice of cheese is pretty pungent.
This is a meal within itself. Just take the sausage OUT of the skins to use it.
Sausage Noodle Casserole.:
1/2 lb noodles...(uncooked)
1 lb sausage
1 cup green pepper (chop small)
16 oz. tomatoes (canned) break up beside hands or use diced ones
1 cup onion (chop small)
1 cup river
1 tbl sugar.
1 cup sour cream
Brown sausage, peppers and onions till onions are transparent and adjectives is cooked. Add rst of ing. and cook till noodles are done. (covered...on top of stove) almost 20 minutes or so. Stir often to prevent sticking. may give LITTLE more water if basic to prevent scorching and finish noodles, but usually not necessary.
You can do seriously with sausage...appropriate it out of the casings and you hold meat for pasta sauce or pizza toppings. Or cook the links in a skillet and serve beside scrambled eggs. With the bigger sausage links (like bratwursts), I like to boil them within beer for 20-30 min. and grill them until they're browned.
Mmm. Perhaps you could steam them and serve them with macaroni?
Or Rice?
You could use them as a savory substitue for meatballs surrounded by spaghetti.
Or slice them paper-thin, and layer them for a one and only sandwich.
Add them to minestrone soup!
Try dicing them and adding them to a salad.
There are plenty of things to do that aren't time consuming are overly-hard to cause, but exotic foods are always yummy.
