Has anyone ever heard of this? Apparently it's noodles, apples, some spices?? Not sure what else. My father have it as a child but can't remember the recipe. I'd love to make it for him for his birthday, but I can't find any recipe that sound even close. Has anyone come across something close to this?

I believe you may be talking roughly kugel it is a Jewish egg noodle pudding/side dish that can be served sweet or savory as dessert or accompany a meat entree as a side.It is drastically awesomely delicious both ways.
