Answer:
If you don't mind calling your Mom,.. well no-one can come up near a sauce that can be better than Mom's! =)

Here's a suggestion or two.

1) olive oil
2) 5/6 cloves garlic (fresh/peeled/chopped)
3) ground lean beef or lamb - (lamb is deeply flavorful and naturally leaner than beef)

4) Four (4) or five (5) fresh tomatoes
(semi firm, rinsed/chopped)
5) About 16 ounces(1 lb.) fresh or frozen peas (canned is mushy)
6) Squash/Zucchini/Mushrooms - (basically, any 'meaty' vegetable(s) contained by season that you like) rinsed, chopped - about 1 cup

* any pasta you similar to

Just a bit of freshly grated Parmagiano Reggiano for finishing your dish - (intense, aromatic flavor)

Directions:
Cook first three ingredients on low/medium flame until meat is cooked through. Adjust flame accordingly.

Add subsequent three ingredients to meat. Cook slowly, mixing occasionally. When it starts to bubble all around, bring flame down to low. Add roughly 1/2 - 1 cup of water and simmer (covered) for at lowest 45 minutes.
(salt to taste)

Prepare pasta as you like it.

Serve sauce over pasta finished beside a bit of the grated cheese.

Here's another recipe:

1) olive oil
2) 5/6 cloves garlic (fresh/peeled/sliced)
3) Stew meat (chunks of meat)

4)1 can of beer (inexpensive is fine)
5) 1 can of beef broth
6) Boiled wet
7) 2/3 tomatoes (rinsed and cut into large chunks
8) 4/5 red bliss potatoes (they're smoother and smaller number starchy than Idahoes, etc)
rinse/or peel and cut into roomy chunks
9) 5/6 carrots rinsed/peeled/ cut into colossal chunks

Directions:

1) Brown the meat with grease, garlic, salt & pepper.
(Use a medium/low flame)
2) Add the beef broth, 2 can of water, and the bottle of beer.
3) Bring to a slow boil and lower the flame.
Continue to cook the beef for one hour until the meat is fundamentally tender.

Add the tomatoes, carrots & potatoes
Simmer for another hour and it's in place!

Serve with rice or bread!
Enjoy! =)
