Are steak salads doomed to failure for you?

I went to Carver's for lunch and have a very yummy steak salad! I asked for Balsamic Vinagerette on the side, and skipped the bacon. However, it still have a little bit of blue cheese, walnuts, and grilled onions. OOHHh and a devout amount of steak =D

im on the south beach diet so i stayed away from bread. but im worried just about the calorie content of the salad. any ideas?

i couldnt find the nutrition facts for Carver's online.

Answer:
Salads at restaurants are if truth be told one of the worst things you can order. That salad run you over 1000 calories alone. Restaurants do not use lean meats, nor do they use low calorie dressings, cheeses, or toppings. The bacon save you a few calories, but not enough to take home it healthy.

Next time you want a steak salad, spawn it at home. That way you can regulate what you are totalling and not adding. You can choose lean meat (preferable not red meats) and cheeses. The dressing can be healthier too by making your own or choosing a low overweight version.
A steak salad defeats the purpose of ingestion a salad.

It negates any benefits.
Everything in moderation.
Steak isn't exactly the healthiest of foods for you, especially if you eat it repeatedly. However, if it's just a once and while article, you're fine. Just don't eat it each day. And go for the chicken or turkey subsequent time.
If you hold to count nutritions/calories to lose weight consequently you're probably eating more than you should or pushing the hold back.

So you had steak and some salads. Any South Beach, Low Carb...etc adjectives those lower total caloric intake. Meaning they simply helps you put away less. Nothing magical just about them.
