They'd procure soft and mushy...much like a squash/zucchini I would see in your mind`s eye.

When I was contained by residence our cafeteria made this cooked cucumber dish, I never tried it, but just so you know, cooking cucumber does exist.
It probably wouldn't steal long before they turned to mush because they're mostly river. I wouldn't think of boiling cantalope or watermelon any. When pickled cucumbers are made, they don't actually attain boiled but have the hot brine pored over them. When melon preserves are made, it's roughly only the firmest section close to the rind that is used.
I've never have it boiled, but I've stir fried it before , somewhat resembling zucchini.
Gets soft quickly. It is not as peculiar as most of us would think though, cucumbers are cooked within many middle eastern and north african dishes. Only one I ever have though was a middle eastern soup which be pretty good.
