Not sure of the brand you are using- but Walker's makes a "paste" that comes within a small glass jar.

and you can put it and mix it beside anything- chicken, beef, pork, shrimp..
I rub the paste over the meat, burn for 40 minutes at 350 and then grill-works out great.
and serve near sweet potatoes and a rice/black bean/corn/salsa/mayo and cilantro salad.
