Answer:
Rub the brisket with grease then rub it near dry rubbing spices.

Soak some hickory chips in hose for a couple of hours (these provide the smoke).

I assume that you have a smoker. Build a fire tolerate the coals get white hot. put the wet bowl over the coals, put the brisket on the grill and put the top on the smoker. Put in the hickory chips through the little door on the side so the smoke will not escape. Add chips every hour. Depending on size of brisket cook 8 to 14 hours.
Ditch the brisket and find a Tri-Tip.
Way more juicy and flavorful.

Don't cover it up or it will be dried out. Find a good rub and slow cook it.
