Which is better? OH, and why do they call Miracle Whip "salad dressing"? I've never see anyone put it on salad .
Answer:
In 1933, inventor Charles Chapman’s patented emulsifying machine allowed regular mayonnaise to be evenly blended near cheaper dressings and more than 20 different spices (plus sugar). The result was Miracle Whip, which debuted at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair. Promising to create "Salad Miracles near Miracle Whip Salad Dressing," the Whip was an instant hit (Note: It’s not prearranged if the dressing is responsible for any non-salad-related miracles.)
The main difference between Miracle Whip and mayonnaise are the sweeteners: high-fructose corn syrup and sugar are the fourth and fifth ingredients, respectively, of Miracle Whip.
I never hear of it until I move to Canada.
Taste them both side by side. The sweeter one is Miracle Whip.
The sugar is what keeps me away fro it.
I still prefer Mayonnaise. I never use MW.
Sigh....the salad dressing has be asked over and over and the answer is so obvious.

Miracle beat doesn't contain as many eggs and is sweeter. It is regularly used in creamy salad dressings such as thousand island. Especially contained by the potato salads that have a sweeter flavor combined beside sweet pickles as opposed to potato salads that use mayonnaise and dill pickles for a more savory flavor. Personally I prefer 1/2 and 1/2 near the sweeter pickles.
