Whats in Absinthe?
Answers:
It is a type of liquor made from herb and has an anise or fennel flavour. It have an incredibly high proof and is unendorsed to sell surrounded by the US. It is legal within parts of Europe(France and possibly Belgium). It is a powerfully addictive and some may even say psychtropic drug.
wormwood extract. and alcohol. mostly alcohol.
Extremely strong alcohol near wormwood. We went to Canada and get some and I've got to vote it is really strong. It's like 70% alcohol.
it is wormwood extract- own only have the real stuff once from amsterdam- stuff be like 70 bucks a bottle- you hold to pour it over sugar or it tastes miserable and it change color when it hits the sugar- there is greatly of fake stuff out here if it doesn't change color or smells approaching alcohol it is prolly the fake stuff- when you smell the definite thing it smells kinda earthy and doesn't receive you "drunk" so much as it feels close to you took a coupla tranquilizers- usually takes roughly 1-2 shots at maximum to do this
I believe that Chrissy BE has put it best. However, here is one thing that I'd close to to point out. The ingredient that has cause Absinthe to be banned is Southern Wormwood (highly toxic and psychoactive). Northern Wormwood, instead, is not nearly as toxic (or psychoactive) nor is it banned within the U.S. This allows distilleries to produce a suitable version of Absinthe for U.S. comsumption. Having have real Absinthe, I can honestly say aloud that the two I've tried here in the States are awfully, very poor examples of Absinthe.
