I am thinking of bartending once a week on the weekend. I am thinking of a club scene but I do not have any experience surrounded by bartending. How would I go roughly speaking getting my first job? What are the most adjectives drinks that I should know by heart?

I am 24 yrs behind the times, not ugly, friendly and enthusiastic. In to make apt cash one dark a week to pay bills but want to enjoy fun while doing it.
Would attire matter within reeciving tips? I heard the more you show the better the tips> Is that a myth?

Bartending once a week on weekends may not provide you the tips you're looking for, because customers tend to identify with bartenders who know what they (the customers) approaching and how they like it -and that's where on earth your tips come from. One day a week make it tough to get to know anyone that very well.
You mention the "club scene," but that doesn't tell us WHICH club scene. If its a country western collective, you're going to be serving a lot of beer -which take no special talent. But if the place is all roughly contemporary urban scene and is sophistocated, here come the chocolate martini drinks and cosmopolitans, B-52s, call brand liquor and god knows what other faddish drivel, ordered by people who surrounded by fact enjoy very little sophistication.
Currently, "white" liquor is within favor: stuff made from gin, vodka, tequila, and rum, mainly. And, as expected, wines. No bartender can be expected to know them all, which is why in attendance is either a copy of the Mr. Boston Bar Guide vertebrae there, or a card report or even computer terminal. But look, half of making the drink is "show business," how you manipulate the bottles, cocktail glasses, rime and equipment. It doesn't matter if the customer is on the other side of the room, you do the show (without it looking similar to you are) for the people at the inn to watch.
I suggest that you if truth be told hang at a few places where on earth you might want to work and make friends beside the BT's there. Best time is EARLY, until that time the crowd comes in, or on an "off" hours of darkness like Tuesday through Thursday. When the crowd DOES start to expand, move rotten so paying customers can move in (unless you're still drinking, surrounded by which case do so MODESTLY or you ain't gettin' a profession.) Anyway, see what kind of those are there and transcribe what they order, and how its prepared at THAT stick.
At some point, tell the bartender you most resembling that you'd like a assignment , be honest about your experience, but suggest that you could work near a pro on the early evening shift to get hold of your feet showery. At some point, if you do the job all right, they'll call you for a prime latter evening spot. It can be a BIG help if you own a friend in the business -most BTs and linger staff at class places are referred by people already on the charge. This is serious business and many folks are in it for years, following a favorite chef or owner from here to here. Personality and appearance are a BIG deal. A conquering personality will obtain you in even if you're short on experience.

I would suggest getting a opening in a resturant/bar as a waitress first and next working your way up. From what i hear, it is not easy to get a undertaking as a bar tender beside no experience.
The places I worked didn't require a bartending class. And to get a work, dress like you would for the work, and just ask if you don't see anything within the help-wanted ads. A lot of bar have problems keeping relieve on the weekends. As far as drinks, brush up on the normal ones, similar to cosmos and martinis and how to pour beer, and how to garnish.
You might hold to look for a job that say "bar back" for a first timer. You'll revise a lot watching the bartender.

You won't find a career in a wearing clothes club or bar next to no experience. Most clubs are not impressed with bartender institution, they want to see plenty of real enthusiasm experience in a similar place. Hotel bar will hire from schools, or will train occasionally. I would start nearby.
What you wear is up to the club, not you.
Save your time and do something else, trust me. But if you are determined. You could start somewhere that is beer and wine individual or you could lie. I get my first job at a small lump by telling them I know what I was doing. I have no clue. I was a speedy learner though and had a dutiful work ethic so it worked out. Many came through that did indistinguishable as me but couldn't catch on and be let move about. PS-Bartending is glorified babysitting only for adults and it get old FAST!
What you wear....depends on where on earth you work I suppose. Personally I think its a bit demeaning to wear smaller amount in instruct to make more. I bartended/waitressed for 3 1/2 years at BW3 (sports bar) and made GREAT money. Easily walk out w/ $200.00 + on a good darkness. And trust me when I say I be completley covered. The uniform is a polo shirt. It's more about your person and ability to be attentive. Plus contained by a more low key place approaching that (not a club scene) you can take the time to swot up, and have general public there to comfort you out. I had no expierence when I started, and have NO problems catching on.
