Why wouldn't it be undamaging? Well, that is to speak, it's just as nontoxic as drinking other beer. Any beer you get at a banister is going to be out of a keg, so that's in indistinguishable boat.
Some people may influence it's dangerous because it's within a metal container and there are contaminants surrounded by the metal, but those things are sanitized. Also, consider how beer is made: for the most part, it go through a whole lot of metal containers contained by the first place, so putting it into a keg adds no more risk

There is no sour in it. Drinking straight from the keg is no different than drinking out of a chalice (which was complete straight out of the keg).
I own drained many a keg surrounded by my bar and also at party and I have no tart burns. I am a sr citizen and still kicking on high beside no side problems from beer in a keg.
