Wine label: Have you ever bought a wine merely because of its sticky label? If so, what be it and what attracted you?

Answers:
Yes I have bought several "table wines" for their label. There is a small winery within Intercourse, PA (not making that up either) they make profoundly of wines for the "Medieval Times Faire" held there every year. They own interesting wines Pink Catawba, a very fitting blush, and of course the every spicy Sangria... category of sweet but a fun drink for a Fair. I still have the bottles!! They be black with shiney gold ingots writing and interesting medieval pictures.

Other Answers:

No. But I'm deeply ashamed to own up that I've bought wine because of the low price. Thankfully those days are behind me!

Yes I have... I don't remember what it be though. The reason is that the first time I really started penchant wine was on a break to Italy and when I got rear legs all the wine that be cheap and great in Italy be really expensive in the states. So I would in recent times find a bunch of Chianti's (which I like best) and base on label and price pick one that I looked-for to try.

Hey Pontac...it wan't the label, but the bottle itself!

it be a 2003 Affentaler Spatburgunder.

Affen means ape surrounded by german, and the bottle has a monkey (made out of glass) climbing on it holding onto the d¨Ścolletage.

It was an legitimate representation of the German Pinot noir!

Yes I bought a wine because it have such a pretty and unusual label, I like the colours on it, that sounds really silly, it was a Merlot so I know it would be half wearing clothes anyway!

Actually some of the best wines in th world espend profoundly trouble just to fashion a beatifull label, for example the german wine you migth voice that Blue Nun is the best in its big-hearted and its label is the nicest compare to the others n this genus. any way the historic thing is for you to try tentative thing so what ever is your criteria for buying wine is ok only try to remember what wine taste similar to what so you can buy it again

Yes...I bought a friend a bottle of "Old Fart" wine for his 50th birthday. Got him a bottle of "Fat Bastard" wine the following birthday but also give him a bottle of good calvados because I know the wine was awful.
