I am interested in starting a small wine making business within the mid-west using grapes or must imported from the west coast. Yes, I enjoy made wine before. I am very soon readly to take this hobby to the subsequent level. I've located the required permit needed to start this business, but I am having difficulty locating the condition standards and regulations that will need to be followed. Can anyone assistance?

In addition to the issue that the post above address with the doomed to failure FDA advice, the FDA doesn't regulate alcohol. The ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) does. I doubt they hold health codes, but it's who you call for to turn to for labeling laws and such.

You should start with your city or county form department. Health regulations are enforced at the local level.
(FYI, the FDA does not MAKE the canon in regard to food safety. They label a recommendation, which is adopt (or not) by each state, and enforced by local form departments, generally at the county or city horizontal.)
