I've solitary ever tried Macedonian Rakia. It tastes resembling a very crude newspaper of Drambuie. It's nice if you pour a shot and sip it, but if you down it all within one go afterwards it's pretty harsh! I have 3 shots which I sipped over time & woke up fine. The guys downed 3 shots & woke up extremely hung over!
My advice is to stride yourself, it's pretty wicked stuff!
