They both cater (most of them anyway) to those who take what they drink seriously. There are cheap coffees and wines surrounded by the grocery store, but the coffee and wine shops offer better quality, tastier (IMO) offerings and much more variety from all over the world. And, might I append, once you have a tang for the good stuff the cheap stuff is almost impossible.
Of course on the other hand if you resembling the cheap stuff you would say that both are complete with snobs overpaying for what they drink!

Uh, the coffee shop sell coffee to drink. The wine shop sells bottles of wine and probably conducts wine tastings. So one is non-alcoholic and the other is.
You mean how are they related? If you do later they both sell fluid that you drink, and both are made from a seed originally (wine have grapes, grape seeds).
I frequent coffee shops and I work contained by a fine wine and spirits shop. The greatest similarities I see is selection and prices. Both enjoy better selection and some rarity available, but the prices are definitely dearer than bigger smaller amount boutique style stores.
