how do I capture a dear friend who is an alchoholic to stop drinking and driving in need losing him as a freind?

Answers:
The above answers are very favourable and I wish I could suggest something else bar telling him just about my good friend Chris who I have known since she be 4,...she died last year from heart breakdown brought on by cirrhosis of the liver, and the build up of toxins in her body which artificial her brain as well.she be only 48.

The discomfort of seeing her deteriorating and knowing that she wasn't going to make it, be nothing compared to the utter devastation feel at her senseless death. She vanished behind parents, a husband, children, grandchildren, siblings and dutiful friends who mourn her passing each day. She has not here a void surrounded by my life that not a soul can fill.

Hopefully you will be capable of help your friend more than we could aid Chris, even if it means losing that friendship for a while because surely he will realise that you are doing it out of "love" for him.

I desire you well.

Other Answers:

Encourage him to jump to AA meetings. You can't relief him by yourself.

Find a relative who has be affected and own them just begin to be at your house when your friend comes over.
You'll have to be pretty crafty bringing up how it traumatized their time.
